Is there anyone who has taken on a mobile phone company and won?

I need a way to get out of my contract which was for 12 months which has recently passed but as the company in question was not a good mobile company I just want out now without having to paying a month's line rental in notice as I will not be using the phone anymore.

Tell the company you want the service canceled immediately and don't take no for an answer. If they try to tell you that by not signing another contract your contract was auto-extended demand that they show you a signed contract. (no one other than you can obligate you to a contract) If still having issues contact the fcc at www.fcc.gov.

If your trying to port your number off that carrier do not cancel just go to the other company with your information and cellular account number and they'll take care of it (as long as your out of contract).

You should have cancelled on the 11th month as its normally 30 days cancelling and that way you only pay 12 month line rental as you agreement.

Seeing as they weren't a good company why didn't you cancel the contract as soon as possible ie. after 11 months !

if the company in question has contracted you into a poor and shoddy service u have every right to cancel on those terms alone

there should have been a cooling off period when the contract renewed, it's usually 14 days and this gives you chance to change your mind.
