I think about gigantic woolen statues, intricate cotton image boards, millions of surprising colours, besprent with ethnografic references. Labyrinthic descriptions of self and lineages and histories of ancestors in lines, triangles, circles and colours. I see the diversity of the ages, of thought, of belonging and taste, spanning over the centuries. I see the cristian knights in flax robes and their moor nightmares, dressed in silk, I see burma in cloaks and the great plains in fringed leather, the njorsk and the bantu with their waste purple covering sharing the same earth. Hippies and the punks smelling the flowers together, separated only by the cut of their cloth, politicians, with their dreaded ties and formal coats, alongside artistic idealists clad in long, outfashioned frock-coats. I see lines, colours, stagger, geometrical shapes depicting the differences of the world, of people, and the unity. I see red cardigans, the warmth, blue jumpers, the restlessness, the small everyday sweater, the knitted scarf of the sewwt smiling child woman, the pinguin starred winter hat, the closely woven trousers of manly men. The fresh and cooling blue of the chinese robe. The occasional "Kidnapping from the Serai" carpet. Tapestries, curtains, drapes and the table familiar, intimate cloth. I see all of the...
