Me and this girl have been best friends for ages. We have traveled the world to see eachother and always have a great time together. She has had several crushes and the occasional bf but none last. I love her more than anything in the world but she doesn't seem to notice. She says she loves me as a brother but I cant live with that. When I'm with her there is nothing more wonderful. Im tired of being the friend. I make her laugh, smile, cry etc... but she never lets me in her heart. This girl is the joy of my life but to her i am only a "friend". I've tried telling her but to no avail. Am i selfish to want more? What can i do? Any advice would help.

Ask her to marry you, and see what she says. Make sure you get a full and honest answer. If its no, then find out why, and move on

Best friend for ages,that what a friend does,travel just to see each other and having great time together.If she really have feelings for you,she wouldn't said to you that she love you as a friend.Appreciate her love to you,you are not selfish,you are just hoping that your love will be return in the same way you are showering her with.Just to remind,you would't want to ruin this friendship,life is not a mirror,its don't reflect what you have give,
its a miserable feeling but moving on is the only way and the right choice

It seems she is not attreacted to you in the same way that you are attracted to her. Compare yourself to the guys she has crushes on or dates- be better than them! Compare the way you treat her to the ways the other guys treat her- Be better than them. learn fron the mistakes the other guys make and never make those mistakes. DON'T ever throw it in her face that she could be with you rather than put up with the BS from another guy...as her friend she'll need you to listen, show empathy, console her, and re-build her self esteem...All the while- you'll be learning from "their" mistakes what NOT to do and how NOT to act so YOU can be better than those guys...Be Consistant...eventually she'll look at you in a light that's far brighter and higher above any of those guys...

The last thing you want to do is push your self on this girl, take it slow, send her the occasional card, flowers and just be there for her and hopefully in time she may come around and see what is in front of her nose.

You need to tell her in a more direct way. If she still thinks you are just a friend........well, that is the way it is and you have two choices......accept the friendship or walk away. You cannot make someone Love you.

She probably has the same feelings for you,but she's just not ready,even though you do everything for her.Wait a little longer,then take her out to dinner,and talk to her about how she really feels for you.SHe might open up.Or better yet,surprise her to a dinner.....

Tell her you love her and you want to marry her(if you do). Ask her if she has any feelings like that for you? I know it's hard to ask, but she may really not know how deep your feelings are until you tell her.
