If they hired a DJ, that firm would have sent them a list of songs they like and would have them choose songs for the different dances. This is not a job for the maid of honor. Your job is to help your sister on her day (to get ready, to carry her dress so that it does not get dirty while she is walking outdoors (until after the ceremony), to hold her flowers, etc.

Hope you all have a beautiful day!

Here's a site especially for these songs - http://www.popular-wedding-songs.com/
Most people I know recommend limewire to download.

My husband and I chose "Suspended in Time" by Olivia Newton John as our wedding song (from the movie Xanadu - we got married a VERY long time ago, and were still teenagers! But, we're still together today!!)

We chose that song especially for the words, which are:

A child and a fool in one
So sure I could need no one
My heart always on the run to nowhere
Now as you're holding me
My heart is reminding me
That now I could never be without you

But how can our love succeed
A miracle is what we need
And so I appeal to you
To keep me suspended in time with you
Don't let this moment die
I get a feeling when I'm with you
None of the rules apply
But I know for certain
Goodbye is a crime
So love if you need me
Suspend me in time

Wasted the time away
Holding our love at bay
Now I can't last a day without you
Your smile is a thrill to see
Eyes hold me tenderly
They'll shine in my memory forever

But how can our love succeed
A miracle is what we need
And so I appeal to you
To keep me suspended in time with you
Don't let this moment die
I get a feeling when I'm with you
None of the rules apply
But I know for certain
Goodbye is a crime
So love if you need me
Suspend me in time
In time

Our 1st dance was Prince's Grammy Award winning ballad "Call My Name."
At our wedding the songs were "Lost in You" by Garth Brooks in the Life of Chris Gaines and "I Believe in You and Me" by Whitney Houston from the Preacher's Wife Soundtrack.
I also love any Luther Vandross.
Kiss of Life by Sade is perfect but up tempo. Jenny Garth from 90210 played "By Your Side" by Sade for her wedding march and I think that must have been the sweetest thing!
"I Knew I Loved You" by Savage Garden is wonderful
You can get an i-Tunes or Napster membership and download the songs for about 2 bucks each or you can use
http://www.mp3search.ru for 10 cent downloads.
In either case, you need a debit or credit card.
Have fun!!! My sister was MY maid of honor, too and she
made my day the best... along with my Husband of course
and the rest of my famly.

Dont know about a site for downloading, but the theme from Love Story is nice, so is Robbie Williams Angels, and Everything I do by Bryan Adams, Lara's Theme from Dr Zhivago, Barbra Streisands People, and Westlife have done several that would be really good.

Hi im getting married next year and it took me a while to think of the song we wanted but we decided on 'here you me' by Jimmy eat world. A few others we thought of were, 'Thats where you find love'by Westlife, and 'Something Worth Living For'by Shane Ward. I didnt want any that have played at weddings like 1000 times i wanted something different and all these songs are lovely. I hope you get the chance to listen to them.nIf you go to amazon you can listen yo them before you by them, but if you get on Limewire you can down load them for free.

I think this is something only your sister and her fiance can answer. They should pick a song that means something to them, the first song they danced to, a song that brings back memories for the two of them.

My husband and I danced to "All My Life" by KCi and JoJo.

Our second choice was "Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts.

Try going to bmgmusicservice.com to hear clips of the songs.....they sell cd's so they don't have all of the songs you will probably come across, but there's a chance they'll have some.
