when someone not your family or close friends being so nice to you i feel like ' what do you want?'but never try to show it to them.

Yes, you are a pessimist.(no offence) Im not really an optimist, but I try to see life in a better light(not a positive way, because then you would be bit naive), because if you had to go through life thinking everyone is against you or everyone is out to get you, you will lead an unhappy life. I was really negative all my life, but you realise that no matter how bad your life may seem, there are people out there with more problems than you.Dont always expect people to use you. Lower your expectations and you will be closer to people and create stronger bonds with your family, however if they do use you several times after being nice to you, you should say it to their face and tell them they should be nice to you if they want to, not if they need something.

You on the other hand may do it the right way, make them build trust, you are a thinker with your head, I'm a thinker with my heart, I probably get hurt a heck of a lot more then you...

Your just being careful with your self and thats a good thing but dont let negativity take over you might miss out on someone really great.

If you're asking yourself that question whenever people are being nice to you, it means that you believe that nice people should be rewarded or get something in exchange of that deed. There are people who are naturally nice. However, there are also people who are just being nice for their own benefit.
