Whatever LAPTOP you choose, i suggest:
Go for
Pentium M processor
at least 40 GB harddisk [80 or more preferable]
at lease 1.73 GHz [more than this is good]
go for a DVD writer [as your ROM-Drive]
select something which has at least 4 USB ports [nowadays most of the peripherals are USB compatible]
watch out for in-built speaker quality [not mentioned anywhere]
17" rocks but you can go for 15" too.
that's it my man, rest lies on you, cos you gotta choose your own design.
Ask a computer dealer to assemble thse stuff for you, [may increase the cost a bit but would be more type of a custom-built]

check out ibm or toshiba... they have a range of business oriented laptops
