Same as suggested by helpaneed above. Central Cottage Industries Emporium if your are in Delhi. The items here are little expensive but the quality is genuine. The price depends on the size and the intricacy of inlay art work. If you have the knowledge about marble and art work, you can buy them from several other artefacts and curios emporia, where you can negotiate on prices. At CCI, the prices are fixed.

And for carrying marble items, do not forget to consider the brittleness and weight of the marble stone.

If you are really for quality and range, and if already in Delhi, I suggest you to go to Central Cottage Industries Emporium on Janpath, Connaught Place ( Opposite Hotel Imperial) for all those marble inlay elephants of various sizes, range and quality.

Hey - welcome to India.

The marble inlay elephants are available within a vast range. The rate varies by the quality of the stone and the finish of the product. You can get one for as little as Rs125 or 150 (~ 3USD).

They are much less expensive than what you will have to pay for in a western country. You have not specified the size you want to buy. The bigger the size, the more expensive it gets.

hi, i could get some details , you wanted from the different websites.
one of them is http://www.kashand.com
why dont you try ?
I think , those sort of items are more popular in North India... that too , only in exclusive selected shops in places like New Delhi.
In the south, in case you are travelling over to south, they are available in T Nagar, Chennai.
All the best ! Regarding the cost factor, compared to Indian standards, "yes. they are expensive"...
But beware of duplicates...pls..
Best of luck !
