Some of them because they have lost their faith in guys. For instance, the bf/husband cheated or the father was abusive, etc.

Others because they cherish their independence, they don't want to settle down and they know they can handle things on their own. Truth be told, except for procreating, a woman CAN manage life on her own and many times she does it better than a man would.

My opinion is, however, that the great majority of women who say they don't need a man actually mean that they don't need ANY man. If they could find a good man, I'm sure most would change their views.

What would the world be without men? Exactly that, a world without men... ;)

Because women are becoming more self sufficient and doing their own thing. A long time ago it was believed that a woman wasn't complete unless some man came into her life and took notice of her and cared for her. But more and more intelligent women are realizing that men aren't needed and want to be treated on a more equal level versus being the supporting member of a relationship.

As for what would the world be without men, I think it would be a lot less violent but at the same time we need men and women also.

I think the world would be a better place if men and women were equal and had the same weight in decisions versus having more male leaders on the podium. Both men and women have great qualities that mesh together and I think that if this world were more susceptible to having more female leaders and less male leaders (in order to balance it out) things wouldn't be as bad.

Plus we need great leaders from both sides--- male and female.

Well,
Once upon a time.......a long, long, time ago................. women did need men,
you know like back in the "Hunter / Gatherer Era"........but things have changed so much since then...... Women have basically been forced to take on the role of both males and females, being the hunter and the gatherer, the butcher, the baker, and the candle-stick maker ............after a while all the women got together and had a big powwow and during this time they realized "Hey..Sister's" "We are doing this all by ourselves, we really don't need a man". Now that's not to say that they didn't like men, because many of them did, and do, however, it did give them

..DUDUHHHHH...
..drum-roll please....
............and edge....
...a "choice" if you will.....

and this fact made the women
POWERFUL......and strong, and men became
an option, not a necessity. Much like icing on a cake. Cake can be very good alone, warm, right out of the oven, Mmmm, Mmmm....but cake with icing? Well that can be simply delicious, Yummmmmmmmy.
What would the world be like without men?
Less choice.
Less hunters.
Less icing.
I'm all about keeping them around. Ladies?

Truth be told, the notion that women will ever need a man is somehting MEN make up for women to believe, in order for men to continue to feel and actually inappropriately become more important or powerful in this world.
More and more women are realizing where this belief originated, and are being outraged and deeply hurt by the notion that men could be so decietful and manipulative; the response is an outright rebellion against and rejection of men all together.
With this rejection comes the verification that indeed, women can survive- we can work, make money, buy a home, make decisions, chose on and pursue very successful and meaningful careers, even have and raise children all without men needing to contribute anything to us- we come to see the possibility that we do not need men- at least not for our material existence.
Heck, with sperm banks and adoption available, the notion truly crystallizes.
It's just the truth, that man is selfish, and he only views women as something for himself to aid in his puroose in life, rather than a full and separate being with her own calling and purpose in life- with her own spiritual worth and needs. Why should we sit around and be put on a back burner like that? Would you like it?
The world without men- I cant make a judgemrent BECAUSE women would be different. Yes, certain traits of men would be gone but their effects on women would never have occurred- ie, women would not have been so supressed, so who is to say that the owrld would be "nicer"- niceness is only a trait of submission that women have been conditioned to express due to their supposed "inferiority" to men (I dont agree).
Also if women could have all the power, such as men, why would relationships become as important?
Maybe, then, the world would be the same, because women are HUMANS, and allowed to express herself freely, she would show all of her HUMAN capacities just as men show their HUMAN capacities.

I see a bunch of men gave rampant thumb downs. Asses!!

Because the feminazis have brainwashed women into thinking they don't need men.

The world would be a lonely place without men. Men aren't bad...I should know, I've been married to one for nearly 13 years now!

I for one am fed up with the man-hating that I see. Those Gloria Steinem disciples have wreaked some havoc, it seems....

LOL!! As a species, of course we need men! However, a woman may not think she needs one in he life. Maybe she doesn't want to be tied down with a man and kids.
