You need to understand this, viewers who voted are usually friends or relatives of the participant. Thus, they voted for friends or relatives sake not for a potential singer. Is very obvious that you need a very, very big pool of supporters like friends or relatives than you can likely captured the "Singapore Idol" tittle. Don't get upset, this is common sense where the rules and regulations stated clearly.

There is no good singer in this season's Singapore Idol. Most of the contestants tend to sing one key lower coz they just can't hit the pitch. If you listen to the original singer, the difference becomes so drastically stark!!
It's more like a karaoke contest.

I think it is just a popularity contest.. the one that wins the popularity contest will be a guage as to if this person is to come out w an album, how many will it be sold... if a person who cannot win the popularity contest, then even if this person voice is good but no one is buying,, then there is no point in helping this person to produce an ablum...all in all.. i find the contestants... most of them are rich and to them.. call and voting is a simple thing.. the person who is the richest can also win this contest....
