Is it the whole illicit stigma? Its natural, it comes from seeds, yet people have no problem smoking their tobacco filled with nicotine, and additives. People have no problem killing their livers with liquor. Hell the air we breath is just as bad for you. I understand any argument that is anti cocain,crack,XTC,acid, ect ect. But Weed? Come on Dr Weil a famous naturalist Doctor out of AZ is dissapointed in the medical community because the lack of use of Marijuana. People need to relax, enjoy life, and get your heads straight. There are tougher issues to worry about. Stop it with this crazy stigmatizing!

Aliza, Queen... I have heard your arguements about the one joint is like three ciggarettes, but what if I smoke two bowls of hydro, which is like a fifth of a joint, and you smoke 15 cigarettes today? I think the way you explained it is a little misleading to the audience.

Weed is good in moderation, I agree, and i have the odd smoke. And it is awesome as a pain killer too, as the other girl said.

However, I know a few guys who smoked heavily, every day, for years, and their lives are ruined. Dope has destroyed their mind and mental capacity for anything other than smoking weed. Also its a very anti social drug, people have a bong then just sit there and stare for hours.

Also, if you reckon Amsterdam is great cos weed is legal, go for a holiday there and see what you think. Only place I`ve been where I`ve been harassed at every train station by desperare heroin junkies.

There is a REASON marijuana is illegal.

Bizzare isnt it? Cars cause more damage in one year than all the MJ will for all eternity but cars are put on pedestals and revered as gods, its just the hypocritical society we live in that demonizes what it doesnt understand or fears. They say something is bad BECAUSE it is dangerous but something else that is worse they will ignore.

Its like when they used to burn witches. The real reason is because those people that dont have access to MJ feel left out, so rather than say "let me join in" and risk rejection, they choose to demonize it and saying they dont want it, when really they would want nothing more than to be a part of that crowd.

They will tell you how bad it is and then jump into their car with their grocery bags full of plastic packaging and think nothing of it. If we stopped everything that had an element of risk we would all be wrapped up in cotton wool too afraid to go outside.

Clearly, you're not asking this question for answers- it's rhetorical and you're trying to prove that your drug use is perfectly a-okay.

So, maybe you should look into the health risks involved with marijuana. Smoking one joint is three times as toxic as one cigarette. It kills your brain cells. It's addictive.

I am keeping in mind though that marijuana use has really only become prevalent in the US in the past 30 years, so the dangers of marijuana use are still under research.

I'm not passing judgement on anyone who uses it, it just aggravates me when people try to convince those around them that there's nothing wrong with it, and it becomes one of the most important things in their life.

If it is used responsibly nothing my father has severe pain through arthritis and many other things and he uses it to block out the pain. Medicines from the doctor dont touch it and he does use it purely medicinal I hate the fact that he cannot get it on prescription and has to break the law to try and ease his suffering. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY TAKE ME TO AMSTERDAM!

I do agree... to an extent. Drinking is worse in my opinion becuase people can black out. However, weed has more chemicals than tobacco and causes cancer just the same. Weed kills people's drives, that is a fact. I don't think it should be illegal though, I think alcohol should be.

Nothing is wrong with marijuana...its simply a conspiracy mate, by the tabacco and petroleum industry. If made legal, no one will smoke cigarretes, we would use cloths, paper,etc made out of hemp...and also our petroleum oil industry will go bankrupt....

i agree that it's actually healthier than cigarettes/tobaccos. but Marijuana also is a hallucinogen which might be dangerous to the person and to the community should it be freely available.

Marijuana has a lot of health benefits but maybe because of its hallucinogenic effect it was ruled out and just made use of other alternative medicines that has marijuana's medicinal qualities

Why can't we ban all addictive substances? Do we really need them? Can't we handle our own problems? We have better ways to relax ourselves like meditation, hobbies etc.

Please quit smoking, drinking, and illicit drug use. Earth would be a much better place to live.
