Well...my initial reply was women, but then I started thinking about people I know, including my ex-husband.
Most of my male friends seem to fall fast and hard...but they don't readily admit it to everybody, then if it doesn't work out, they have saved face, and talk bad about the woman. Most of the ladies I know, also fall hard, but not fast, tell everybody they know, and if it doesn't work, every one of them seem to get over it fairly quickly when a new possibility enters the picture.

As for being more faithful, I think a lot of men will accept anything offered to them, whether they are commited to someone or not. Then there are the guys who go get what they say they need, because they're not getting it at home. And I think women only stray, if they are not happy, and start getting attention from somebody else.

I won't say it's equal, but I will say it depends on the person. Good question!

I think women fall quickly and men fall deeply....in the end either it's over quickly or both are that much deeper in love...time tells.

I think it's men too. A woman can heal from a broken heart and love just as deeply or maybe even more, the next time. When a man's heart is broken, it's never the same.

Sometimes, women cling to their mates more then man. It could be caused by some kind of innate understanding, or subconscious understanding of increased probability of self-and-child survival. A man can walk away from a child, more easily then a woman can, because there is always more a bond between the feeding mother and child.
