I quite agree with you - Ken Dodd must be one of the all time 'bests', but I can never see anything vaguely amusing in the likes of Jim Carey, and whoever even THOUGHT that Charlie Chaplin and the rest of the 'silent' crowd were funny? Certainly not me - but then, I am a miserable git!
