many health companies claimed that negative ionizers are good for health. however, i beg to differ. base on my knowledge, since ionised particles are unstable, they tend to easily return to neutral charge, hence, we will not get to enjoy the benefits of breathing in the negative air ions if we do have one ionizer. anyone care to back any claims up using valid sources?

You are correct in assuming the ions return to their normal neutral state after a while, encountering some object where they can get some electron from...
As to the effect on well-being, I know no-one that has proven it, nor felt it (but I am surrounded by rational people).
However... ionisers ARE useful, in screen printing industry, to eliminate charges deposited on paper by friction. Without them, the paper stick to itself, to the tables etc, and large static discharges damage the electronic equipment...
