I am absolutely scarred stiff of losing my husband, he is my life, its not going to happen but it still scares me and I'm scarred of what is going on with everyone right now, man against man, country against country, were and when will it all stop and will we be better people for it, god help us all.

I've never actually thought about what really scares me to be honest.
I have dislikes and fears but they are based on past events and experiences, and can be altered through therapy or changing the way you feel about them.
Not knowing what is going to happen next is the fear of not knowing but there is an element of surprise, excitement and curiosity depending on ones mood...

Deity-based religions and their believers.
They are messed up group of individuals with serious financial and organisational backing. The believe in a god(s) and a sometimes a book(s) and so they can justify:
- death by stoning
- why you should believe everything written in very old books by human authors
- that girls and boys should not be allowed together
- domination of women (they all do it to some extent)
- holier than thou
- perposterous dress code for all their holy men
- the silly beards
- holes in condoms
- death by hanging if you are a young woman who refuses to marry someone you don't want to
- the chosen ones
- having to wear turbans
- believe in miracles when what we need are real solutions to real problems
- in god we trust
- women and men not allowed on the same side of the street
- the covering of women's heads - oh sorry, the "traditional dress"
- the hypocracy of calling themselves peace-loving and respectful to others when all they want is for everybody to be like them (onward christian soldiers, marching on to war, with the cross of jesus, etc)
- (but the worst is) they are respected and fully-integrated into our societies - we can't escape them!
They make me very nervous because I really don't understand what makes them tick. I just want a peaceful life and all I see are dangerous organisations controlling the masses "souls". And they're after yours and mine. How can I (as a Brit) die and get cremated without seeing a crucifix?
Scared? I'm frightened out of my wits!

Ooh, i am really really scared by the thought of something hap penning to my kids. Sometimes it's quite hard not to let your mind race if you've seen something bad on the news that starts you thinking.
I think it scares me so much because it would be out of your control, and i know that my reaction to it would be one of basic instinct.

I am absolutely terrified of something happening to my daughter. Sometimes this gets to the point of being unhealthy as i won't allow her to play inside her friends houses or things like that although i don't mind them playing in our house.
I wish we lived in a world that wasn't so awful for kids.

I'm absolutely terrified of any pain and suffering. I hate to see other people or animals in severe distress. I even get an increased heartbeat...strange. Otherwise I'm not afraid of anything else. Not even death, or the darkness!

Yes its called Nuclear War...a major possibility in our times..especially with so many fools in powerful governments.

spiders and heights but most of all dogs, to many bad experiences, that i know dogs are to unpredictable even the most tame. dog owners might disagree but nothing convinces me.
