I have read the contention that microwaving slashes the amount of nutrients in food. I'm taking a "wait and see" stance on that one.

However, there is really no doubt that microwaving food on a plastic plate or under a plastic top...especially plastic wrap...should be avoided. The microwave process causes the plastic to leach carcinogens into the food. I always microwave on glass plates/bowls with either a plate on top or a paper towel.

Yes especially the frozen kind with all the preservatives in it. As for your question though don't you think it would take quite a bit of microwave food to really have a dramatic effect on your body? Just don't use it for your three squares a day. Know what I mean.

Yes it is one way bad because all foods that are cooked in a microwave are fastfood and the heatwaves that make the food hot has some effects on the food and destroys its nutrients

y'know... microwaving food works by cooking things from the inside out.

there's an un-natural force of energy happening there, while conventional cooking more naturally cooks food from the outside in.

an organic food specialist told me about these sorts of things.
