click on the icon named as history given on the Internet toolbar. hope u understand that there r only sign given on Internet toolbar and if u place ur cursor above it, the name will appear, its next the favorites, a new window(small size) will appear on the left hand side of the screen, which gives an entire list of the website visited, right click on the site u want to delete, and then click delete,

however, if u want to delete the entire list, right click on the icon of Internet explored on the desktop, click properties, u will c a small rectangular box mentioning clear history, click and then click yes to confirm, all sites u visited r deleted

On the button bar at the top of ie 6 (or 7 or any other version) click the clock with an arrow on it (or hover the mouse over it and it will say History) click on it.

A side bar will appear. Click on Today (or whenever it was you wanted to delete) right click on the website and go to delete.

Have a close look at the icons on the tool bar. Can you see a small black upside down triangle at the side of every icon, well if you click on it a drop down menu will appear with all sorts of things on it.
The one you want is on the left of the search box. look for options and personalize your tool bar.
you can also highlight the search and press delete on your keyboard.

You can go to control panel. Internet settings and then clear history. Also above that button, there is a delete files and delete cookies button, do that too.
