Why is it that people still go swimming in the sea in Kaap Stad?? It's so bladdie cold!! How do they do it?? Even Durban's waters have become cold!! Oh, I don't have anymore questions...please post some so that we can answer!!

the weather in gangsters paradise is getting warmer but still that joburg cold at night.
I support the cats, the bulls, the pumas in that order. when they play each other i am in serious kak.
yeah i ask muself that all the time, why do ppl swim in false bay. we are the only country in the world where great white sharks breach the water to hunt... hee hee
durbans water is not so bad, nice and warm.

Hey Reggae Lover, ja the weather has been typical August weather, very hot then very cold, I was up Sani Pass 2 weeks ago and there was over a metre of snow! How can you call Durbans water cold?? I swam the other day and it was very pleasant, feel sorry for the Kaapies tho!!! I am sorry that you support the Bulls, it is not your fault I'm sure, go Sharks! :P

The weather has been really weird lately in Gauteng. We've had some really cold days, especially thanks to the icy wind, and then we've had some nice and warm days. It really seems as though it can't make up it's mind.
My fav rugby team in SA (besides the Boks obviously) are the Lions - did you know that they beat the Bulls this last weekend? he he
Capetonians are probably so used to the cold water that it doesn't affect them. I was there earlier in the year when it was still supposed to be warm. I put one foot in the water and immediately stepped out. "it's frickin freezing" as Dr. Evil would say...There was one little local girl, around 6 years old, who was running up and down the water and she was loving it - as opposed to all the Gautengers that were sitting on the beach looking blue, he he

Gauteng se weer is mos maar altyd lekker warm!
sounds like u really miss home...? Blou Bulle all the way but they are not doing that great in the currie cup (3rd on the log)!
I prefer sun city's sea, it's fake but who cares!

What in the hell are you babbling about? You sound like someone who's going home! I dunno nothing about the weather in Gauteng, but I'm sweating my butt off in Korea. For a lazy overweight beer-drinking guy like me that's a lot of sweat.
I love the Stormers even when they are at the bottom of the log. I think they are in 11th place on the Super 14 log? Guess you know where I'm from then!
And South Africans are just crazy fun people to go swimming in winter. It's just that which makes us so irresistible to others. We dunno when the party ends. And everybody wants to be South African for that reason.
I love that....EVERYBODY WANTS TO BE SOUTH AFRICAN!

hey the water in durban or on the east coast can never be as cold as it is in Long island! the kids i look after go mad in the water but to me its freezing!

hey eks ok van suid afrika...the best place to be and the weather here in gauteng has really been weird the last few weeks...cold then hot all 4 seasons in 1 day.
