although this doesn't answer your question, this is to tell all the people out there that shaving and waxing DONT make the hair grow back thicker and darker. the only reason that it feels that way is because its shorter than before (kinda like duh...but listen)
when people shave their hair, it feels hard and prickly, but the same head of hair, if grown out, would be much softer. there's a better analogy, but i'm too lazy. but the shaving and waxing thing has been proved.
