I don't know about a person, but my cat has figured out that if the TV comes on mysteriously I will come in her room and shut it off. Then check on her to see if she is okay. I caught her standing on the remote to activate the TV or change the channel. She gets my attention and and her bed fluffed and the dog put out all in one quick motion! Learned that in one day. To me two days to figure out it was not the dog doing it!
