Maggie was a teenager and lived on a council estate in Glasgow. She met a 'toff' who lived in Heriot Row in Edinburgh new town when she went to university. Mr Bronson from 'Grange Hill' played her dad. The series dealt with the clash of cultures and classes when the two main characters came together. IMDB doesn't give much info other than the cast list.
