I hear UC Berkeley has an excellent program. And even if it's not at the very top, I think you get the most for your money because they are public.

Of course MIT ... but if you want a smaller (much less expensive!!) school that has an excellent program, look up Louisiana Tech University. Really, they are supposed to have state-of-the-art facilities and a very well recognized program.

Either MIT, Cal-Tech, or Cornell. At least according to the 2006 edition of U.S. News' top colleges and universities.

MIT is undoubted the best, followed by Stanford and UC Berkeley.
