Syed Kirmani and Dhoni Both have bowled in test matches and infact Kirmani has taken a wicket too,of Azeem Hafeez of Pakistan, but neither of them have opened the batting in tests.
Dhoni has opened in one day internationals. But never bowled in One day Internationals, neither has kirmani bowled in one day internationals.
Farokh Engineer, the former wicket keeper , was a regular opener but he didnt bowl a single ball in his test or one day career

The only instance of wicket keepers of both sides scoring century, in an
ODI, was Mahendra Singh Dhoni of India (and Kumar Sangakkara of Sri
Lanka), established at Jaipur, in November 2005.
