wikipedia isn't bad, i guess i do regard it as a good source but its not the best imo
..i personally prefer the Encarta Instant Answers used via msn messenger..u just add encarta@botmetro.net..its a fast an easy way for getting accurate information.

you can decide whether a source is "good" or "bad" by searching for something you already know alot about and see if it teaches you anything new in that subject.

there was a recent research conducted by macmillan, britannica dictionary vs. wikipedia... and the results were that their accuracy is almost the same... so search online for this article.. also, wikipedia does have inspectors who verify the data posted on their sites...

as for looking up reliable sources, mostly those from authors/scientists/magazines/educational institutions/publishers r very reliable... the personal pages should be thought about!

Wikipedia is fine for general knowledge, but most professors won't let you cite from it in your papers as research.

Wikipedia is OK, if you use it wisely. Do not take is at face value without outside sources.

I think that Wikipedia will become vulnerable to tendencies of liberals to change reality to accomodate their sickness.
