There's a lot of myth and misinformation surrounding steroids, and more specifically, steroid ABUSE. Many of the horror stories you hear are from situations where someone didn't do any research and simply started popping steroids in with their morning protein shakes. Steroids, when used properly with a doctors supervision can have amazing benefits as far as muscle mass is concerned. That being said, the only people I feel that should even possibly look into steroids are those who are:
a) over the age of 23
b) have definitely reached their genetic limit as far as muscle mass is concerned, this usually means someone who's been watching their diet (counting daily grams of protein, carbs, calories etc.) and working out big time for anywhere from 3-7 years. and
c) are mature enough to talk to their doctor about what they want to do and what their goals are.
As you can imagine, that leaves a pretty small pool of people.
Steroid ABUSE does cause: acne, aggression, hair loss, impotence and possible liver and kidney damage.
However not all steroid users have these problems. That's because if you've done your research and have a proper regimen planned these side effects can be avoided.

They make you spotty, aggressive, thin your skin so it becomes papery and prone to tearing, diminishes the size of males' genitals....anything else? Take them only as the doctor prescribes.
