Puhlease WAIT until your horse is three years old before you ride her....
You can put a saddle on her at any time... but puhlease don't ride her until she is three...
Handle her a lot... practice picking up her feet.. move around and under her and talk to her a great deal... feed her well and pat her and love her lotsssss....
Oh and do touch her moouth...get her used to having her face touched so when the time comes to put a bit in her mouth... she wont be too surprised... get her used to a halter and lead... lead her a lot.. and lunge her..for exercise...
A horses spine has not hardened until they are three and if you ride her before that you risk swaying her back....
soooo puhlease wait...
Yes yes in the racing industry they break them in (sort of) and ride them way before that time.... but those horses are not considered horses... they are simply investments to the people who own them... and they don't care if the horse ends up with a sway back... once the racing days are over.... if they aren't any good for breeding... they are literally dog meat...
I am guessing your horse is a lot more than that to you...

To be introduced to tack, I guess can happen anytime. But you shouldn't even lunge her until she is 2 1/2, and don't ride her until she is 3 or for. The longer you wait, the more likley it is that she will remain sound until she is 25 or 30. Horse that are started at her age always end up with problems.
That doesn't mean you can't do anything with her. Walk her in hand a lot, get her used to things that might be 'scary'. get her used to having her feet handled, along with every other part of her body. Take your time teaching her to load in the trailer. The more work you put into her now the easier she'll be when it comes time to get her used to tack and a rider.

use a person-friendly weight saddle now to get the yearling used to the feel and when you consider that the horse receives more effective and older, use a heavier saddle. like the others suggested, do not holiday till the horse is a minimum of two years previous. they seem large and strong, yet their legs gained't help an rather good type of weight and heavy preparation without harm.

Our rule of thumb is No lunging or cantering til around three it reduces joint stress A saddle can go on any time you can begin basic riding at 1 1/2 Don't work collected until three. Walking trotting big circles staight lines all good

Please do NOT ride her before she is three years old! Her bones are still growing and riding her now could cause miss buildings. You can put a saddle on her now so she gets used to it and also start working with her. But don't ride her. If you don't know how to work with her, ask a trainer or somebody else with horse experience.
Be patient with her.

i would say around 2 you could start placing the saddle on her back and everything, but yeah definitly wait to ride her until she's 3 or older and then only ride her lightly cause you can destroy a horses knees if you ride them too hard too young, and now you can do pretty much everything else handle her alot and let her begin to trust her you can teach her to lunge when she gets a little older and begin touching her face and ears alot and get her used to that, so when you do bridle her she'll only have to get used to the bit itself

i agree with the majority, you can use a light weight saddle at any time, and even start ground driving if you like but wait until her bones are mature enough to handle the weight of a person, you can start to ride her at 2 years but not for anything strenuous, and not for long periods of time, her bones really aren't mature enough for real riding until she is 3
