First of all, hezbollah wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for israel occupying lebanon. They created hezbollah. The problems in the region have deep roots, to the very core of what people believe.
Diplomacy is based on compromise, and there is no compromise with religion (only delay). The only solution is for the countries to secularize so that they can come to the negotiating table as nations, not as religions. It'll be a cold day in hell before we get any countries in the mid-east to do that though, it would require israel to stop being a Jewish state, and all the countries around Israel to stop being Islamic states. Can anyone imagine that happening? Ever?
