I'm on orange PAYG just now and it's costing me an arm and a leg to call Turkey. There must be a cheaper way

Not sure on PAYG ? There are also lots of add on's available on different networks to get cheap calls to abroad. Turkey is usually under "Rest of the world " zone which is the dearest !

You could try any of the high street travel agents, some do Phone cards which cost a lot less than orange, or try the post office phone card.for a £5 it gives u up to 90 mins of call time but this is for land lines only..hope this helps.

The higher rates for certain places can't be helped. Sometimes it's because of network issues, or even sometimes political climate.
You MIGHT get a better deal on phoning rates if you had a contract, or a international calling card you call using the cell with.

If U don't need to be mobile, Yahoo messenger/w Voice is UR best choice. It is surprisingly clear. It's bound ta piss off land line & Mobile carriers, but OH Well. We need all of the breaks we can get...
