How about this????
SEVENS
objective
Place all your cards in the layout on the field before the other players do.
how to play
Four players are each dealt 13 cards. In turn they are allowed to place 1 card in one of the columns. If they cannot place a card legally, they have to pass.
The player who has the seven of hearts begins. Then the game continues clockwise.
There is one column for each suit: clubs, diamonds, spades, hearts. Each column has two rows: one for the high cards, one for the low.
The first card to be added to a column is the seven. It goes in the lower row. The second card is the eight, which goes in the upper row. Then it goes from the seven down to the ace, and from the eight up to the king.
You can only add an eight to a column when the seven is already in place. You can only add other cards to a column when the eight is in place.
For instance: if a column is empty, you can add a seven (of any kind).
Or if a column contains the seven of clubs, you can add an eight of clubs.
Or if a seven of hearts and an eight of hearts are in place, you can add either a six of hearts or a nine of hearts.
You select a card by clicking it. If the card connects to the layout, it will automatically move to its correct position.
If you can't play, you need to click the pass button. You cannot pass when you hold a legal card. You have play if you can.
When a player has played all his cards, the round is over. The other players will receive a penalty for the cards they still hold: the nominal value of a numeral card or 10 points for a face card. The ace counts for 1. So if you have a six, a nine and a jack left, you will get a penalty of 6 + 9 + 10 = 25.
The game is over when one of the players reaches 100 points. The player that has the least points at that time, is the winner.
Click start to start a new round, or a new game when the game is over.
background
The game described above may seem familiar to you, although you may know it by a different name, like Fan Tan or Parliament or Domino. The rules of the game presented here may also be a bit different from what you are used to. We hope that you'll enjoy the game all the better for it.
