I'm new to this site and found it a week or two ago so I've been looking over some older questions to see how things work. I don't think some of you even realize how much info someone could get from this site. I'm sure alot of ppl have alot of friends in here and that makes you feeler safer about what you say.. but this isn't just kids I saw doing this.

Say in January, somebody asks you where you're from, Feb, they ask middle names, March, they ask where you work. I've seen all these questions in here answered and I'm sure nobody even realized how much info they're giving out with the questions spaced out like that.

I've also seen ppl in here laughing at online stalkers and asking how it can happen. LOL, well I've found a billion of em since coming online but the first one was the most scary.. had my first name, knew where I lived and knew the bar I worked at.. that was all he needed and decided to move the stalking from online to in person.... so it DOES happen. Just be careful.

I was stalked once two. I felt so scared to wake up every morning. Everyday after work, I wouldn't go to my apartment just in case. I would stay at different friends houses everyday, until finally he stopped. It was so scary. I totally agree with you about the information thing. I did the same thing, since I've been here for about a few days. Best of luck.

You're right of course. Everyone should be aware of this. Information volunteered should be kept to a non threatening level (Not too personal) and really was someone feeling stalked or harrassed by someone else online ... It would be a matter for the police to deal with it and also a complaint to Yahoo.

Yeah. This guy was on MySpace one time. I was chatting with him. I heard that he had been talking to someone who asked him what his phone number was. Both cellphone and home phone. After having an arguement with him he stopped saying things. I was scared for a minute. Then he said "Sorry". I thought he got kidnapped. I'm not sure why but...you never know.
