Was it romantic? Did he give you the engagement ring right there?

We were sitting on a hillside watching the fireworks for the 4th of July. He reached over to "get a can of pop" out of the cooler. He grabbed the ring that he had hidden and leaned over with it and asked me right there in front of a few hundred strangers! IT WAS PERFECT!!!!!!!

Hey Chuck, that's my Hubby's love-nick-name...awwwwww !!

Ok I'll get to the point, he proposed in between the dinner entree and dessert in the Casino where we had our blind date (that's how we met)

It was supposed to be my Birthday dinner but that was just a ruse I guess. The dumb-a** waiter came sniffing around to ask us for something and it kinda recked our little moment,

So my advice is if you want to be left alone while proposing in a restaurant , let the staff know ahead of time when to leave you some alone time to savour the moment !!

And yes, he did have the ring in a velvet box in his pocket, I think a dude should pretty much be prepared with the ring at the moment of proposal, thats kind of an expected thing on the babe's part.

It would have been cool if Hubby had brought along a camera, so he could ask the Dumb-A** Waiter to capture the moment of surprise for all eternity! (That picture would then be cool to use on the future wedding invitation) :-)

It was about 6:30pm, 2 1/2 yrs ago. We were at the beach headed home after we had gone surfing together at the north shore in Hawaii, like we've always done so many times before so I was very surprised! I never expected it at all! I said yes immediately. We had been best friends for a few yrs before he proposed to me and I knew without a doubt I wanted to be his wife. The ring was in his car in the glove box. Yes, it was romantic for me. Two months later we were married.

It was about midnight and we'd gone to bed, we had been arguing earlier in the evening. We had started arguing again and he pulled out a ring box from the side draw and just asked out of the blue. It was not romantic, not expected, and the ring did not fit either. But it did put a stop to the argument.

Because of the style of ring the band could not be altered so he exchanged it, which turned out to be one that I liked anyway.

In a toilet!! Just kidding
It was in a Cafe 4 years ago where there was lots of noise and people he asked 'will you marry me'and it was not romantic but i asked him to give me time to think over it and after two weeks he asked me again and i said yes just to stop him nagging me.But now we love each other very much and it has been two years since we married,i found him like my ideal man i dreamt since my childhood and now we have a 14 month angel.
Sometimes the unexpected happen
Thank God!!

At a restaurant December 4, 1994.

I was so tired because we just came from a trip from countryside. We're so dusty. He invited me to a fine dining restaurant, and we're not dressed properly! Anyway, too hunger and tired to fuss, I said yes. After dinner he gave me a card that says:

21 days before Christmas. Would you like to spend Christmas with me, and all Christmases thereafter...will you marry me?

No, he didn't give me a ring that night. I'm not expecting though

My boyfriend rolled over in the middle of the night, put an arm across me and asked me to marry him...Thinking he was surely talking in his sleep, I turned on the bedside light...There he was, eyes wide open, huge grin on his face and a ring in his hand. That was 20 years ago next month.

Ohdear. It was leap year, 1976. I proposed to HIM. In my parents' BASEMENT.

He wanted some time to think it over, since it was such a big decision.

A week later, over the long-distance phone, he said yes.

well OK I'm not married but my boyfriend of 3yrs asked to to get with him in the cutest way ever, we were all alone in his room with the door open of course and out of now where i start looking at his drawing on the wall. he then got his guitar and started singing a song to me. it was " Ur body is a wonderland" i know it wasn't the best song he could pick but his singing totally covered it.after he sang his song, he grabbed my hand and got down on one knee and told me i was the one for him, i didn't know what he was talking about at first but then he said "i know Ur the one i want to spend the rest of my life with" then he asked me "would u do me the honor of being my g/f" i said of course and well ever since that day their hasn't been a day he has forgotten to open the door for me or let me choose where i want to go out. he is my everything.and I'm barley 16 and he is already talking about me moving in with him at his mothers house and marriage. he has already bought me 5 promise rings each one has a word on it :
I..WILL..LOVE..YOU..CONTINUESLY
