That is the hardest thing. But you should let the person you both like decide who he/she likes the most. I would have us both tell the person then let the person to decide. (The person might reject the both of you though, then you'll both have a good laugh at this).

Well, this is a tough one. You know, all is fair in love and war, the old saying goes. My mother's best friend was going with, guess who, my dad, before they got married. She took one look at him and said that was it, she fell for him. Well, they started dating, fell in love and got married. They stay married until the day he died, over 40 yrs of marriage, 4 children, tons of grandchildren, great grandchildren. She was the only child, but the family is up to over 32. It was just fate that they were to be together. You just have to decide if it is worth breaking up a friendship or not, if it is, then so be it, you can't let sometimes a friendship interfere with a lifetime soul mate, if that is what you really feel. Time usually heals all, but you can sit down with your friend or friends, and just say you like them too, and the best person wins. Just see if that goes, but if you do not want to do it that way, until the other person chooses one of you, it is just free game. No hard feelings.

If its a case of liking, then perhaps its best for everyone to be open about it and get it out of the way.
After all a friendship was built over years but that is not to say its going to last forever either.
And if you think you are going to make or have a future with the person you like as well as your best friend, then you really should weigh your future happiness with your present friendship.
I don't subscribe to all that Hallmark nonsense. Friends are not necessarily going to be with you forever, and certainly not spouses either.

MAy the best girl win! The choice is really not up to you. ITs in the guy you both like. Whoever he chooses wins and the other friend should back down gracefully.

liking the same person is not bad.it just mean that your so similar
that even admiring opposite sex you do both have a feelin on it. it's become bad if you're already hurting each other feeling because of that only reason. so, let it be your what you feel right now.

Try not to compete. Don't ruin the friendship you built with this girl over some guy. It's not worth it.

Did you like him first and your friend knew that you liked them? If they knew it, then go for the person you like because you see them first.

If they liked them first, then you need to stay out of the way and give them the first chance at a relationship.
