I 've P4,128Ram,40Gb,i get msgs"ur pc too low on virtual memory,it hangs so often n is too slow,any help?

Its difficlt to open lets say 2 msngers yahoo n msn at the same time n screen usually gets blank while i work means lets say msnger doesnt show any contacts for the time being etc..n it shows as if its downloading some thing..I am nil in technical things if i cld be guided so i can easily solve this issue myself sitting at home?

Are you running Windows XP?
You definitely need to upgrade your memory. 128MB is what Windows needs to run by itself. Upgrading to 256 or 512MB will not only get rid of that nasty message, you'll also get a nice performance boost to your computer.

It's possible to tweak virtual memory settings, but I wouldn't reccomend it. You'd have to know exactly what you are doing, and even then, it won't solve much if you did increase the HD space you allow to have for virtual memory.

Just invest in more memory. It's getting to be more affordable nowadays.

Go to Start> Right click My Computer>Properties>Advanced tab> in Performance click Settings>Advanced tab>Virtual Memory click change button and change your setting.

The message is clear that your computer is short of paging file.
Best way is to expand your memory to 256MB at least

Right click my computer> properties> advance
Under performace, click setting> advance
Under virtual memory, click change
Try to double up your memory by select custom size
