Of course you can get an STD again. If you are constantly re-infected, it keeps coming back. You need to avoid having sex with whoever is infecting you or you need to have him wear a condom. Please be aware that there are some STDs you can still get even if your partner wears a condom.
As for the guy being too large, the important thing is communication. During sex, words like "deeper" or "not so deep," "gently" or "harder," "faster" or "slower" should be enough to help make things better for both of you. Also, be sure there is a lot of foreplay to lubricate the vagina and/or use a lubrication product as well. Try different positions as some will not allow for as deep a penetration.
