....when you go to a drive-thru like BK or mcdonalds?
I went to BK tonight and my Veggie burger was hard as a rock on the outside, my boyfriend's cheeseburgs were flat as a pancake, and the MOzzerella sticks were not melty, and the fries and onions rings were cold and rubbery!!!!!!!
We were so mad.
HOw often does this happen to you guys and do you get mad?

Happens more often than not. Maybe it's a sign to stay away from junky foods :)

Ya, BK sucks. I used to get mad, but now, I just don't go back. It's not worth it for crappy food.

I stick to McD's (MUCH more consistent) and always taste a fry before leaving the restaurant just to be sure. Only about 3% of the time do I have to switch out.

Now if I dont' eat the fries right away, then chances are no matter where I got em from, they'll be cold and rubbery (might as well toss em!)

The problem is that with fired food like fries, rings and motza sticks is that they are meant to be eaten right away. They do not keep very long even for a short ride home. That's just the way fried food is.

As for the pancake burgers.... LOL! but so true. that's just because the food preparer is mad that they have to work for minimum wage.

As somebody that eats fast food 2-3 times a week, I think BK does it more often then most. I think Arby's is the best though especially after 11 at night. Their stuff is always fresh.

This happened to me quite a few times, it seems BK is one of the worst offenders. I don't often get mad though and don't bother to complain, I guess I just expected the food to SUCK when I get food at these places.

OMG this happens to me all the time. My grandma and I have come up with a plan when we go out to a fastfood joint. When we go we ask for our burgers well done, which forces them to be fresh cooked, the fries without salt (you can ask for salt packets to salt them yourself, makes them healthier too) and even the drinks with very little ice. If you like fish burgers then ask for no salt on it so it has to be fresh. Basically anything you ask for special means it has to be fresh. You could also ask for a plain burger with condoments on the side, sometimes that helps too. You kinda have to manipulate the system to work for you, after all you are paying for the food and service, its no different than if you went to some fancy restaurant. Just less formal and sometimes less quality products.

when the problem is a pretty serious one, like the order taker being really ******-ish, I call up and complain. When the food is cold, then i just eat it anyway. I hate cold, soggy fries, they give me the hiccups!

Okay, here is the trick to get hot food at fast food places. Always ask for something special, like can I have my cheese burger without pickles, this forces them to make you fresh food. And don't be afraid to ask for fresh fries. I always do and they don't seem to mind.
