I agree. Hold the door for anyone leaving a building if you're in front of them. If you're standing in a restaurant and see people who could maybe use the help, older people, or a couple with children, it would be a nice gesture to open and hold the door for them. Anyone in a wheelchair, using a cane, etc. or someone with a baby stroller, also.

Always open the doors for others so that they can keep it open for you when you walk in. Kindness goes a long way.

Anyone that you have an opportunity to. That may be just the kindness they needed at that moment.

I work at a crisis center and I just heard of a story about a man that wrote a suicide letter saying that if one person said hello to him on the way to the golden gate bridge then they would never find the letter. He jumped, he lived they found the letter. Not one person in 14 blocks made eye contact or said good day.
