When you will be 3567 years old will you ask the same question? You should behave yourself no matter the age.

Absolutely. Whatever your age is, you should behave like it. But it doesn't mean that you should be missing all the fun. It is still fun being 50, I suppose. Well, even if there is no fun in being 50, try to feel a little younger. the most important here is how you feel inside. If you are happy and content at 50, you feel it inside and it will radiate outside. It will have good effect on your skin and on your outlook in life, and you will look younger. Now, if you are 50 and you behave like it but you look younger, isn't it more fun if people come to you and say that you don't look your age?

I feel younger at my current age than I did at 40, or even 30. I enjoy my age because I now have the experience I wished I had back then and I am much more confident and independant.
Behave your age, yes. But enjoy it too. You've earned a few perks.

At your age, you've done all the hard work (house, children, career etc) so why shouldn't you enjoy yourself?

And where is the book that tells us how a 50 year old should behave?

Yes and No.
Yes is that you are 50 years old, you admitted it and your id shows it.
No is you should live your life the age you plan to live. This freedom of choice is yours to enjoy. The only limit is that you cannot interfere with someone else' freedom while you are enjoying yours.
I am also 50 this week.

Well my brother is 40 and still doesn't act his age! So I wouldn't be surprised to see a 50 yr old not acting his age!

well, i have to say i will be 37 this year and i feel like i did at 25, only smarter and more confident, so, i don't think we actually feel younger...it's just that we stay the same people but wiser. i wouldn't go back to being 25 for anything, there is something to be said for having experienced life and still being able to physically do all the things (and more ) that i did at 25. i'm fitter and look better then i did then (so i've be told, anyway! )
who needs youth, long live us geriatrics!!!!!

Act the age you feel, not the age you are. I'm 60 but I feel about 40, so that's how I act. Most people I've asked say they feel younger than they actually are.

Hope this helps.

ha ha ha.... best question I've read in ages... obviously you don't or you wouldnt need to ask, when you start acting your age its time to get out the pipe and don those grandaddy slippers with the zips up the front, if your ready to do that then yes you need to start behaving... I doubt somehow you will...lol
