Go to that store 21 forever and the gap. My wife is your height and very thin, and has problems finding her size because America usually creates clothes for taller women, like for heights 5'5" and up. Before she hated skirts because it made her look like a little girl. Now she loves wearing skirts after a bit of encouragement and shoopping for size zero at those two store.
They don't aways have what you want, but on some rare days, they have everything. On those days, buy everything. My wife rarely buys anything because she can't find anything, but on those rare days, 300 dollars on 10 or so outfits just like that and no returning to shopping for months.
Any other store she goes to has all sizes waaaay too big, and she's not one to fake a size and pretend something too big fits, and wears it like some chicks. She makes sure it hugs her body the right way. there are a few other stores that make great style clothes for her size but it's usually 200 dollars for some tiny skirt thats looks like it was made in 5 minutes.
And I know some shorter women shop in the kids section for something good, but usually the kid clothes look like, well, like it was made for kids.

Several tricks can help you look taller. Wearing long pants instead of shorts or cropped pants, wearing high heels (within reason), wearing the same color tops and bottoms, using solid colors, and avoiding fussy or busy accessories can all help you look taller and more elegant. If you want to wear stripes, wear vertical rather than horizontal stripes. Especially, don't feel bad about your height! Feeling comfortable about your size is more important than what you wear. Elizabeth Taylor used to worry that she was too short -- and her career worked out well.

i have a friend thats similiar in height. her height does not get in her way of shopping. sometimes this what you call "disadvantage" can actually save you money if you shop at hte right places. buying stuff meant for kids can still look great on you. i dont mean that you should shop at kid stores. but some things you can buy from there is cheaper. in a way i think you are at an advantage because at the same time you can save money.
