I am putting together a portfolio but im not completly sure how many pictures I should use. I heard that 20 should be enough. How many head shots should I have and how many body shots? should I use a plain backgroung? How many diffrent outfits should I use?

You know what? Why don't you go to tyrashow.com, the website of ex-supermodel Tyra Banks and see if you can contact her. In your e'mail or letter to her write about your strong dreams and life=long struggles to become a model and ask for some advice from a "brilliant professional like her". She'll be really flattered and I am sure would help you. You could maybe even get on her show. Why don't you suggest an episode where she has a competition for model wannabes and maybe you can participate.

include anywhere from 5-7 head shots and the rest body shots. try to make it a plain background so nothing will be too distracting, try to use a different outfit for every 2 pictures. which agency are you hoping to sign with?
