noticed a lot of people mention discomfort when wearing thongs or g string. i started out feeling a little uncomfortable, but after a while you will feel like nothing is there. personally, i just think VPL is ugly. if you cannot accept gstring, at least wear a boy shorts, or brazillian shorts. just my personla opinion though.

I wear them but sometimes, depeding on what I'm wearing, I wear the Victoria's Secret little lacey boy short panties.
In SOME pants, the string on the side of the hips shows a slight depression on the hips.
The sexy little boy short panties smooth out EVERYTHING!
No lines AT ALL. They're also more comfortable and just as pretty and sexy.
Especially with a matching bra. You can find them cheaper, just about everywhere now. Even Target and Wal-Mart carry them and they're just as pretty as the ones at Victoria's Secret. They just don't usually carry the matching bras, is all.
Check out Penney's, Sears and trendy boutiques, like Charlotte Russe, etc. They're always having sales on them for like $1:50-$2:00.
We really need both kinds.
As to your question about women making that fashion mistake? Yes, they are. They really need to check for panty lines before leaving the house. It looks bad.
For a REALLY smooth look, check out the lacey boy short panties. They are perfect for low rise jeans, pants and skirts that ride low on the hips because they have a low cut V- Shape in the front and back. The G-strings don't. When you sit down, the back of the G-string panties show, at the top, in the back.
Just depends on what you're wearing.

Some women are just not willing to wear cord or dental floss to look good. For many of us comfort is the reason we wear our clothes and panty lines are someone else's problem (we hardly notice them on ourselves).
The truly seamless where nothing at all, anyway.
Peace!

Isn't g string a thong? If so, than it is definitely not a fashion mistake - I mean, they are so terribly uncomfortable!!

no i don't think the g string is a fashion mistake but i think it takes a certain type of female to wear it-certain shape body and certain out going personality.

Under garment is very personal item. It's the most closest to our sensitive part. Thus, comfortable should be in priority.

G strings are great...... if your a skank. If you wanna have a little class or self respect, a low binkini cut, of boy cuts are the way to go.

Its really up to them to decide what they would like to wear.
We shouldn't have to be slavish to fashion's whims. After all fashion is ultimately dictated by people and we should be allowed to decide for ourselves?

no .... it's not.... can u imagine seeing dis very pretty girl walkin down the street .............. but she's walkin weirdly... as in she's either adjustin her g's or she's walkin uncomfortably wif her legs widely open to ease her uncomfort....isn't it more obscene? even if u know how to dress but u cannot project urself out correctly...... u're still part of fashion mistake...
wat's important is dat u r comfortable wif wat u r wearin and how u match and project them out...... cheers
