That men are inheritantly dominant and women subserviant - even though he doesn't treat me this way and we are really quite equal in our relationship - he still likes to look at the world as "women things" and "men things" - which there are some things of course in which that is a given, but when it comes to home and yard and raising the family, there is a blend that must be had and he is good at it, but the undertones of his upbringing do creep in from time to time. Of course, he would change in me the idea that I don't hold and that is "cleanliness is next to godliness" is a Bible verse. It isn't. I'm not his mother, I admire her organizational and cleaning skills, but I have many other talents than those and they seem to provide more witness to others than the spick and span of my home - I would not be afraid for someone to eat off my floor - however, I might prefer you didn't, as I don't mop daily.
