My 84 year old grandma is sick right now, throwing up, and I don't know what it is. She is taking medication for her heart as usual and that doesn't have any effect. We had fish and chips for dinner, I thought maybe that's whats making her throw up, maybe food posioning, but I had it too. Could it be her weakened immune system....what should I do? I tryed giving her crackers and some 7up but she wont take it. What do you think it is???

It could be a lot of things, including food poisoning that didn't bother you. It could be something lodged in her throat.

Take her to the doctor or emergency room if she can't keep down liquids. She could dehydrate. Try water. But if she can't take liquids, have a doctor check her.

Take her to a family doctor
As people get old they develop these symptoms like throwing up, lack of appetite, weaker immune system.....its a natural process.
Its highly unlikely that something's wrong with her....
Worry but dont worry too much

it may be the medication in addition to her body in general weakening. my grandma just died; she was sick too. she kept getting weaker. she couldn't really hold any food down other than toast and some fruit and vegetables. you may want to get a hold of a doctor if you haven't already.

When someone is older and acting sick, it's best to take them to the hospital right away. In my family, we have to do the same thing now. Good luck and I hope it's nothing serious.

Is your grandma a diabetic? If so, the throwing up could be due to insulin, if she is or isnt a diabetic, put some peanut butter in the inside of her cheek
