I love my new vans but i was told you have to skate to wear vans.

Oh yes, you MUST be a skater to wear vans, you must be a surfer to wear quicksilver and roxy, and you must be a goth to wear hot topic...lets face it, if the companys only did that they would only make half as much as their making.
So go for it buy the vans, they're all the rage at my school and I'm pretty sure that only about me and a few other people out of the hundred wearing them know how to skate.

No, thats silly, thats like saying you have to be cold to wear socks, Vans are made by a company to promote skating and for kids who skate, but its not JUST for skaters, anyone can wear them.

No, you don't have to skate to wear Vans. That's like saying you have to be a hippy to wear Birkenstock, or a basketball player to wear All-stars, or Black to wear Fubus.
Who cares, just wear what shoes you want to wear! There shoes for goodness sake!

oh no, not at all, vans are like heritage fashion now. Go very well with turn up jeans, specially if you could get ur hands on one of those ankle lengths with a beige sole

no....don't believe them. I wore vans for years and I never skate, only rollerskate....and I know they are not talking about that kind of skating. Do what you please, you're not hurting anyone.
