I'm with ya. Unfortunately, the media is completely obsessed with appearance which has a significant affect on our culture.

Ok let's try this question again -
Just because a few women are concerned with their outward appearances does not mean ALL women are shallow and materialistic. Although being concerned with your eyebrows or worrying that you are not attractive has NOTHING to do with being materialistic.
There are plenty of men who are concerned with their apperances - does that mean everyone in this entire world is shallow (and according to you) materialistic?

it matters to them and they still dont believe they are good enough, and its magazines and movies and shows like good old shallow tyra that keep pushing that crap down girls throats, feel sorry for them, they have nothing going on inside, the poor things are like cellophane, you can look right through them.

Women are more "small minded" and petty than men..
As a stereotype..
This is correct...
Women are generally more concerned about their physical
appearance because this is where society has placed their
worth...

"You look simply maaa...velous" the comedian Billy Cristal (and actor as well) once said.
"It is better to look good than to feel good" he also said joking about how people went about themselves back in the 80s,
but I'm sure has always existed throughout the ages...
Just sad to see it happening in our own culture these days and is getting worse.
