No body can predict the weather in Sri Lanka - Usually these months are dry - we did have a good South African test series ya ?

If we don't play matches due to Bomb threats - then you can assume that the LTTE has won ! Sri Lankan team will come to India if there were 100 bombs that goes off in Mumbai - we did that once.

SL Cricket board has done a lot to organise this event - they waste millions of dollars too - why would they want to see it go waste without a ball being bowled ?

Unfortunate we cannot see a match, but there are circumstances that cannot be avoided ya ?

Sri Lanka cricket organising matches in August/September is because only on these months the other country's are available to play. Tho there is a terrorist problem in the north an east in Sri Lanka the life has to go on and playing cricket has to go on. The same problem is there in other country's as well and they play cricket and no one is bothered. Why only Sri Lanka?

its dissapointing that the series was called off due to a combination of bad weather along with the LTTE bombs. initially the matches were scheduled to be played in Dambulla (situated in the dry zone) but were later shifted to Colombo. dont think that S.L cricket board can be blamed for the bombs though better scheduling of matches would have probably even made the South Africans reconsider their decision to back-off.

Blame it on Board. They know it rains in August/September. Why conduct series during that time? Take Australia as an example. Years after years, they have fixed schedule like a test starts on 26th Dec, 2nd Jan.

LTTE and rains should share the trophy, because one eleminated the south african team by scareing them and the other washed away the indian team..

Sri Lankan Cricket Interim Commitee Should take the resposibility they took a dicession to chage the match shedule to Colombo due to political reasons. If we had matches In "Dambulla Stadium " We shul have seen all the matches.

It happens every year. BCCSL always brings down Cricket teams to SL during the rainy season.. So I think BCCSL should get the blame.
