Although it sounds that your friend is a smart girl, she is suffering from some complex. Such people, though smart and successful, don't have the capacity/heart to appreciate other person's success. Rather they try to humiliate/minimize the success of others.
The only solution is (other than breaking up) do your good work be confident, but don't expect to be lauded by your friend, rather be ready for some criticism. When you'll take her criticism in stride, she'll be astonished and ashamed at the same time.

Wow. I'm not being a smart alec, but when you ask a question about who is smarter than whom, you might want to conjugate verbs correctly (friend who always GETS mad, not get mad), spell correctly (better THAN, not better then & CAN'T rather than cann't) and use a question mark instead of a period with "What should I do".

It would make for a better argument that you're smarter than your friend.

She isn't a real friend Monica. A real friend would encourage you and when you do something better than you, she would say, "Wow, Monica, I wish I could do that as well as you do!" instead of putting you down. Get a better friend.

She is obviously suffering from an inferior complex. My experience has taught me that friends who get angry because you achieve something are not only jelouse but usually feel threatned because you are cleverer than they are and they know it and don't like it. Be strong and if it carries on - find other friends who will be proud of your achievements.

I'm surprised you did better than her, too. Your statement should read "friends WHO think they are smarter THAN you". Keep her as a friend--she could help your English.

that means that she is not a real friend...

a real friend is happy for yo when you do something good or better than her...

a real friend feels bad when you do something bad or she did something better than you...

tell her about how she treats you and solve your probloem with each other....

and if that doen't work, try hanging out with new people... and try to find a better friend...

To me, this means that your friend is jealous of your achievements. Just tell her to be happy for you instead of pissing and moaning about it. If she tells you to jump, tell her to do the same. You don't need her if all your friendship is is a competition.

find another friend! ....a REAL one!
you may have to study a bit to learn what a real friend is so you won't be drawn to the wrong people any more.
