No, you are NOT a pus*y. It is never a good idea to engage in a physical altercation when people have been drinking alcohol or doing drugs. The fact that he apoligized says a lot about his character. Many "drunks" never apologize to anyone for anything. You were smart to let it go & now you can start over again as friends. But beware, if he does this again, you will need to make a decision if you want to continue being friends with a person who is "unstable".

No - I actually applaud your self restraint. I think you are more of a man for not hitting back then for hitting. I have witnissed a fight between sober and drunk men and I can tell you - I was disgusted that a man who knew what he was doing would attack and beat a man who was drunk. Well done and I really hope that your friends see this as a learning experience on how to be a REAL man.....

I personally think you did the right thing. All your reasons for not hitting the drunk are correct. Actually it took more courage to not hit him then to let your fists fly. No you are more of a man than him because you handled the situation perfectly. Now if he had really tried to harm you then you would've had the right to lay him out on the floor. Good judgment call!

Two thumbs up for not fighting back with that loser!!
You would have just stooped to that a**hole's level, he must not be that good of a friend if he can act like that. People like to blame their actions on alcohol and **** and i'm so fed up with that excuse, just an excuse to basically act like an a**hole and wake up the next day and say "oh man i'm sorry, i was wasted" I've been wasted up to my eyeballs and have never truly lost control, yes i can't control body movements and ****, but i'm still aware of what's happening, what i'm saying and doing. It's such a lame excuse. If you're still friends with him, you've lost the plot.

well this depends from person to person. good people like you would do exactly what you did. you are not a p*ssy. why? because you were willing to fight. p*ssy is someone who wouldnt fight no matter what. in my case, i would have kicked the other dude's a**. i let my nuts hangs and i dont p*ssy out from no one. i wouldnt care if it would ruin my friendship with any of my friends. im not saying im hard or anything, its just my character. i would go as far as possible until i am satisfied, i would send him to the grave if nessecary. i dont care if hes drunk or not.

no not at all. you did the right thing, by not stooping to his level. The fact that you wanted to fight back/retaliate shows you have some self respect, but at the same time, the respect for friends, yourself, other customers that you let it go. Dont feel awkward. people do stupid things sometimes. I would have done/felt the same.

You did fine. Taking a shove from a drunk guy once in a while is not that bad. You used your head.
However I'd stop being around him if he stays violent when drunk.

I don't think it makes you a p*ssy. Obviously he wasn't in his right state of mind when he was being violent with you, so it makes sense that you didnt fight back. I know a lot of people who get violent and mean when they're drunk, i find its best to just ignore them(unless of coures they get too out of hand).
