If he sings as bad as my friends teenager I can understand why he wakes you up. UGHH!!
Seriously,
YOU CAN HEAR WATER RUNNING IN THE NEXT ROOOM?
I'm jealous.
Is he pounding on the wall in there, slamming the door?
NO? Wow you got good ears if the water wakes you.
You are going to have to insulate. Depending on what is behind that wall it might help to mount a big section of cork on the wall. That will absorb a lot of noise and you won't have to tear into the wall. If you don't think you can live with the appearance of the cork, you will have to cut some small holes in the wall and fill the spaces with a spray foam. Or if you don't mind the cork, do both because the cork will cover the holes.
Is the shower spout and handles against the wall in your bedroom? If so that means the pipes are in that wall and you don't want to put any screws or nails in that wall where they could puncture a water pipe. Use caution whichever way you go.
If you do both of my suggestions and the noise still comes through, don't worry, he'll probably move out by the time he's 30!!!!!!

Depends on if there is anything in the wall, for instance, plumbing or electrical wire, etc. If there is, you should probably leave it alone.
I've insultated walls with the expanding foam by drilling small holes in several places, using the foam in them, then filling them with a little Dap & paint.

You can drill in the wall like others have suggested OR put another layer of drywall (sheetrock) over the existing wall in your bedroom. That's probably what I would prefer doing rather then messing with wiring and joists and plumbing. Good Luck!

A couple of ways. The easiest may be to fill the air space in the wall wth fiberglass or nontoxic foam.
The best way is to make two walls of studs that do not touch, fill with fiberglas. The plan would look like:
-------+--------+--------+--------+------
........|........... |............|.........
.....|...........|............|...........|
---+-------+---------+--------+
