will it cause any adverse effects or nullify the effectiveness of the sunblock or sunscreen?

techincally, you can put on sunblock after putting on moisturizing lotion. ive done that before. but then i realized that they have moisturizers WITH spfs in them. they actually made it because people with really bad acne are really sensitive to the sun, and they still want to use a moisturizer, but they also need spf, so they combined them. its a great combination, and works equally...moisturizes AND protects. I've seen them at sephora before, but if you need someplace else they may be in target or wal mart. hope this helps! :)

Get a combined lotion, the sunblock won't be as effective if it cannot absorb into the skin properly.
