I am no doctor, but there are cushion of air inbetween the tendons and joints of the finger. When Someone cracks their fingers, its the sound of the air escaping through the tendons like a bubble wrap, except the tedons don't break. I need someone to validate this for me

The human body has a lot of nitrogen in it which is absorbed from the atmosphere.

As you move your joints (fingers, back, toes etc.) this nitrogen gas builds up in the joint in a sort of bubble. Cracking your joints causes the bubble to "pop" and makes the cracking noise.

It is certainely NOT bone striking other bone, because it this was the case, you would be in extreme arthritic pain all the time.

.In between the knuckle joints are what's talked about as Synovial pills, that are packed with Synovial Fluid; they act as buffers that supply up the joints donning out. interior this fluid are air bubbles which, if compressed, implode and make that cracking sound you listen once you 'pop' your knuckles.

There are ligaments (bands of fibrous tissue) in joints. They hold the bones together. When someone cracks their knuckles, they're snapping the ligaments across the joints.
