Yeah they don't ALL say that republicans hate gays. I've seen a lot of big mouth dems and repubs and yet, they NEVER speak for their entire party.

They're just ignorant - the Only member of the press with complete White House access is gay, the current republican president is a former cheerleader - honestly Republicans are the more pro gay and there are a lot of gay republicans. I think its something a lot of haters didnt know. Probably because of the constitutional amendment against gay marriage thing - But! a lot of homosexuals are very religious people who support traditional values. Anyway, I think Republicans get a very bad rap on this one (and probably because no one will say something about this in the media) - and they are a very sensitive party. It's like how people say republicans are anti- Mexican, 100% not true!!! Which party wants visiting worker papers?

One only needs to look at the history of the Republican Party and how they have used the issue of gay agenda that they say is being pushed on America. Twice past three years the GOP control House and Senate have sought to add an amendment to constitution to ban gay marriage.

The present GOP is controlled by religious right that includes Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson and other moral leaders of religion and we all know there take on gays.

The GOP claims to be the big tent party tolerant and open. They have lot to explain before they can themselves tolerant. The moderates in the party are not welcome for there views on gays.

Time to awaken. i'm Republican as are a large number of the contributors of my and we do not hate those who're gay not even a touch. My son is gay as is a cousin and they are very loved as are our acquaintances who're gay. I genuinely have some buddies in my section and others i recognize who're Democrat - they imagine all gay people are going instantly to hell. Please - imagine for your self and do not lump people right into a set with a label... properly - seem no extra than your solutions to locate how incorrect your statement is.

They are generalizing. For the most part the Republican party is made up of conservative Christians. And with most christian denominations homosexuality is frowned upon. But to say that all republicans are against gays is untrue. I consider myself a conservative at least when it comes to fiscal policy but in gay rights... Personally I don't really care. If gays want to get married or have civil unions it is fine by me. I think the ideal environment for raising a family is with a man and woman. But lets get real most marriages end in divorce. SO does it really matter? No.

I also believe most republicans don't hate the gays, but it is the fringe left wing movement of the gay population which gives them a bad name. "Gay Pride" parades don't create tolerance, they remove it.

But that is just my opinion.

I'm liberal. I don't always say Republicans hate gays. I like to let people express their indivdual feelings without assuming they agree with everyone else.

Liberals thrive on divisiveness and contention. If they can make gays believe that GOP is the enemy, then their vote is guaranteed.
